1996 Sea-Doo XP new purchase help!

just purchased this not my first jet ski but this will be my first time working on jet pump and reinstallation. engine has been rebuilt from a sea Doo specialist shop and it is all bolted back in however owner lost ambition on finishing project and bought a brand new seadoo better fit for him and wife. the jet pump is together but not installed everything from motor to back of hull is disassembled. I ordered a full jet pump rebuild kit minus impeller and anti rattle nose cone alone with fuel lines filters the world where it has the grey tempo fuel lines. are there any diagrams to how this assembly is put together meaning the pump to motor and how to properly grease and align? sorry for the long post just trying to be as thorough as possible thank you in advance for any and all help!

You will need the engine alignment tool for sure. I think @Coastiejoe still rents his out.

yes it is and a reasonably desirable ski compared to others. and I would definitely be interested in renting rather then buying!

Keep in mind Seadoo's for most of us here have become like potato chips in that you can't have just one. If you plan on doing more the tool is a good investment for $150 from SBT.

150 is not as bad as I was thinking however is there a link you could provide to it?

another question is there a gasket I can purchase that goes in between exhaust clamp on exhaust expansion pipe? previous owner used high temp silicone and just not sure if there is a factory correct gssket

There is a thin copper ring that goes in there and is usually hidden by the copper RTV silicone. The copper RTV silicone with the copper ring is the correct way to seal it.

Be sure to check closely. I thought I needed to buy one and after I cleaned it a bit I found the gasket was under the silicone. Saved me $17.00
