I hate to muddy the waters here, but I live in KY also. It's getting late in the season and if you wait another month or so you can pick up a bargain on a good running ski. Last Sept. I bought a great 96GSX (yes I know it's not the ski you're looking for) for $800.00. Great engine, great compression, 151 and 153, 76 hours. Body was dull but polished right up (it's the one in my avatar). I found it in southern Ohio.

Here's a before and after picture, it didn't look that bad when I brought it home. Prices should start dropping in a couple of weeks.

Lou

Hey Lou I just noticed something on your GSX. Did it come from the factory with the eyes on the port bow (I assume you have one on the starboard side also) or did you add those? What are they for? Just curious.

those definitely don't look factory, probably there because its tough as heck to reach the bow eye when you're sitting on top. on my xp i find myself hooking a line to the side to keep control of it and then jumping onto the dock to get to the bow eye.

definitely not factory, i'm really lazy i just loop around the handlebars and call it a day, on the rare occasion that there is a need to tie off twice the 2nd rope would probably go around my grab bar (96 xp) but I can't recall the last time i've used two ropes.
