Well now I know alot more about the electrics on these things than before. I really dislike electrical problems next job is to open up fuel senders on both and fix them hopefully its just magnets. I still need to understand whats what in the boxes front and back and how everything works control wise so I can wrap my brain around problems. I have just a little OBSESSIVE COMPULSIVE OBSESSIVE DISORDER. but it only acts up when I'm awake so it will be ok. . . . . . . .

Well,,, being that these are new to you, you did well. Bottom line, if you can provide good info to us, we will get it solved. It just takes some time or steps to isolate the issue sometimes.

Much thanks to everyone even bad advice sometimes is good advice I learn from everything. But I still hate electrical, and these things are ate up with electrical components. Doesnt seem like it should take so much stuff, motorcycles or 4wheelers dont have this much. I also found the replacement parts on ebay going to order 2 and go ahead and replace me other ski's button out as well.

Ok I just got 2 new buttons for 45.00 on ebay. I also got some new lanyards one in blue and one in pink for my wife. the ski's are also stickered one in blue stickers and one has pink stickers the pink one has a brand new motor and screams past the other stock all original ski. The older motor will maintane about 45-50mph is that good? the other runs probably 55-60 the MPH doesnt work on it.

As long as your compression is good, both should be able to run the same speeds. The slower one may have a worn wear ring or needs a couple of pumps of grease in the PTO grease fitting to get you more pressure on your carbon seal.

What color are fuel lines?

There is no zerk fitting on my carbon seal. Both have same type carbon seal loose floating against a wear washer on the shaft both look good and boots look new.

The zerk is on the pto. The grease pages the driveahaft back

Got both of them greased, so outside pulling carbs and having them cleaned I believe I have serviced all the criticals.

Did you see my post?

Yes one ski has all the fuel and oil lines replaced and one still has some grey fuel line but for the most part its done. I have the hose kits to replace the rest, just havent done it yet. The electrical problem jumped in the way of the hose job.

Gotcha, wanted to make sure before you ran em again. Gotta try and save these engines before something bad happens due to the fuel lines.

We went to the river with all the kids yesterday and had a blast my quicky fix worked great until my little girl unplugged the lanyard wich left me getting into the front bay out on the river to re start the engine. They both hauled an adult and 2 kids each at 45mph so Im happy. I didnt manage to sling anyone off so it was a good day. NEXT THING IS...........get an some pull behind toys to sling the kids around on...................yes

Very good.. Glad you got out and had no issues.

It feels SO MUCH better when you can actually ride them...

no glue, it just pushes in place. line up the holes around the perimeter of the button cover so that there is no hole at the bottom and press into place with a small flat tip screwdriver. there are small pins that go in each hole to hold in place.
