I am new to owning jet skis but have owned boats before. On my ski there is no water coming out of the CSI port and I know there should be. The engine doesnt run hot and has water coming out of the exhaust as it should by what I have read. The hoses coming from the 90* fitting on the bottom of the exhaust manifold are not clogged. What else can I check?

Sorry I don't know what a CSI port is, are you talking about the tell-tale? If so check the hose itself can get clogged, take a piece of 12ga. romex wire and see if you can clear it, it usually clogs about 3" from the end.

yes the tell tale or "pee hole" as some call it. I have checked all tubing up to the 90* elbow at the exhaust manifold and all tubes are clear

hmm, checked the manual - CSI = Cooling System Indicator (pisser). If we do some detective work we can solve this in under an hour. Like Lou said, first jsut try sticking a piece of wire thru the "CSI" hole on the back of the ski. Mine was plugged once and that did it for me.

So Jake,

Now among you're other talents you are a CSI Detective, yesterday you couldn't even spell it and now you are one. Hell I ain't never even heard of a CSI till someone splained it to me, I thought it was Crime Scene Investigator.

Lou, did you miss the pun? "If we do some detective work we can solve this in under an hour."
my talents is scratchin my butt and pickin my nose. Never heard of a CSI either. Did a search in the manual. Now that there is detective work  But I still aint shure I kin spell it.

Lou,
been there...done that. All hoses are clear to the 90* fitting on the bottom of the manifold. I guess my next step is to unscrew the fitting from the manifold and see if it is clogged.
Thanks

I think this is normal in the gti model
connected to the garden hose if come a lot the water front pisser
but the water is very slight or nothing

sorry if I'm wrong

I would start from furthest place back. If you can remove the fitting, I would start there. Remove the firing and fire it up, if you have water you know which direction to go. No water, then you have some thinking to do.

Maybe a garden hose won't supply enough water for the test. So again, if no water I would go to the ramp and back the ski down and then see if you get water.

with the garden hose connected a lot water
but in the river nothing not water and the engine is cold

someone here with model gti ..

if you're running on the garden hose, you probably aren't going to get enough pressure in the system to spray out the indicator since its running the cooling system backwards and there is nearly no resistance to it flowing out through the fitting in the jet pump. on the 718 i believe you need to pinch the oultet hose between the flushing "T" and the exhaust outlet to ensure that the cooling water goes to the engine and not straight out the back.

Run it on hose and pinch the hose that goes to the exhaust outlet in the back also the manual says when running on hose you need to use a pinching tool on the 3/4 inch hose on top of engine t fitting... Then you should get a stream.
