Hi Guys...first time poster and newer Sea Doo owner. Purchased this ski from the original owner when I bought his lake house last fall. My experience with jet skis is very limited. He had recently replaced the engine (last July). Prior to me purchasing he replaced the plugs. The battery is a couple years old. It ran great the few times it was used last Fall. Took it out for the first time last week. Ran great day 1. Day 2 it would not start, no beeps and totally dead. Pulled it out of the water and charged it all week. Back in the water Saturday and started right up and ran fine. Day 2 started fine. While driving it started to lose power then finally died in the water. Got it to the dock and was able to get the 2 beeps but would not turn over. It tried for a second or 2 but just wouldn't start. Pulled it out and replaced the battery. Got the 2 beeps, tried to turn over for a second or 2 then stopped again. Tried multiple time to start it, got the 2 beeps occasionally and other times it would not beep at all. The times it did beep, it would try to turnover for a second or 2 then stopped. Thoughts anyone? Your help is greatly appreciated!!!

Have you checked all of your grounds? When you say you charged it for a week, how were you charging it? Trickle charger? Was the battery in the ski and plugged up while you were charging?

Still sounds like a bad battery.

Even new batteries need to be charged at low amps like 2A or less. I have seen quite a few of the Walmart EverStart batteries bad brand new.

Also never jump start a Seadoo with a running vehicle, booster/charger or jump box as you can fry the computer. If you must jump it just use a 12V car battery with the engine off.

The old battery was charged with a trickle charger during the week. It's on the charger now and I will back up Friday night. Hopefully the new battery just needed a boost. If not I will be figuring out where the grounds are and how to check them...any info on the grounds would get awesome!!! Thanks!
