Yeah, all my skis and boats go in salt water. If you wash them down and spray them you're good to go. I just don't know about this one but time will tell.

First 2 heavier coats. Letting it flash off then back in for #3 and however many more it takes for good coverage.

Heavy coat. Looking so good. Maybe one more. Last pic is with a flash, looks really close to the original white.

Still have to bead blast, prime and paint the starter. Everyone hates putting those starters in when the engine are in. I have no problem doing it. It's easy.

Getting closer. Hope to get it 99% tomorrow. Waiting for a head pipe gasket. I have 2 but need those for the speedster this weekend, Welch plugs let loose on the boat, lol. Any who......

Just need to finish plumbing the fuel system, new wear ring, battery, oil, gas, and hope I have a key that matches. Lol, literally I have no idea if I have a lanyard for this ski.

What paint did you use for the engine, about to paint my 720 and I love the original white they came with.
I got at the local body shop supply house. The primer I got at Eastwood one day, they're only about an hour or so from me so it's a cool place to visit.

If you don't want to go that route.......Duplicolor Wheel paint HWP100. Then here's the kicker. Let dry and harden. After a few days of riding, I like to spray the engine with seadoo lube. Let it sit, it will "stain" the white to close to original off white.

Looks great! I just posted a few pics of a 95 we rebuilt. I really enjoyed the process.
You were much more thorough than I was!

Can’t believe your trailer queen finally runs. Been a long time coming. Great job racerxxx.
Looking forward to seeing how it performs.

Made it to Iowa yesterday, just shy of 1000 miles. It's 56 degrees today. Upper 70's this weekend. Here they are at the largest rest stop in the world!

I just scored the spx on the right. All I needed to do was hook they lower pipe back up. Guy gave up on it, I fixed it and tried giving it back to him. He said he'll stick with his new one. I fixed it in 30 minutes Has a few years old SBT engine, came with 2 covers,. One was a brand new commercial sewing cover (what everyone calls poppy covers), and a nice single place trailer. Figured if I had issues with the 95 I could at least shake that one down.
