The thing is with the brachets broken off you really need to get a whole new pump housing . they go for around $150 used on Ebay and some times as little as $75 for one well used and a little corroaded , but that can be cleaned up , the reverse bucket

I did a cross reference check and it appears that the only ones that match up are for 96 - 05 Sportster. You won't have to replace the pumps.

Chester is a very advanced with pwc's so I will not even go behind him to see if his info is correct because it probbly is. What I would do is use the boat without reverse untill I could locate the reverse buckets used at a price that I can afford. These boat turn on a dime [at least the single engines doo]. You could allways just push your self backwards. My boat turns so tight that I can turn the wheel and head back in the oppisite direction.

I wouldnt use it, just simle fact, anything could happen. At lake otherweek, and an unfortunate thing happened, where dude reversing his boat, and so happened, i was dock'n, some simple manuevers, yeah, but 1 of my motors crapped out, and with that, boat did nuth'n, but was able to "dump" the buckets, get'n me to halt, fire it up, and then, goin off subject, but darn steer assist trim, on boat, didnt help either.
So, I wuldnt take the chance.

If you do not have confidence in your boating abillity I would not try what I have said. If the sky is falling any thing is possable. Some one could run into you in your boat or if you were swiming. There are many pwc's made without reverse. I know it is a boat so you will need to be even more carefull as it is larger and has more weight to stop Good luck as I can allway be wrong. Reverse buckets

I have a 94 speedster that was the same way when I bought it. Not sure but seems like the way that might happen is the buckets possibly came unlocked from the up position while the boat was in forward at a good speed and all that pressure hitting them at once was the only thing I came up with. I had to replace the reverse cable also because it had been damaged when it broke off. I found my bucket on the forums it took awhile but I did find one. They are out there. And everywhere I checked they were discontinued. It has to be the same smooth metal bucket with the support bracket, I tried to put a plastic one with the ribs on it off a 96 but they have bigger pumps and the wholes don't line up for the support. Pretty sure it has to be off I know a 95 sportster bucket will fit or a 94 speedster also because I own those boats too. I just talked to a guy the other day at a seadoo scrapyard I believed was in new York and he had one of those boats he was parting out. Let me see if I can find the # when I get home and I will post it. I beleive it's on my desk. Hope it helps.

Seadoo clinic

This place is called the seadoo clinic. Havnt done any business with them but I called and he said he had a 95 speedster I believe is what it was he was parting out. I know he said it had all the steering and reverse cables in it. It was just last week I spoke with him. The # is 517-238-5955.

1 cross...

The part # for your reverser bucket is 271000440. The only other boat with this bucket is teh 1996 Sportster. There is no other cross for it.

I looked at it and that was one of the, if not the, first bucket design. It was changed to a different design about 96 for most of the boats. But, you'll need to get one of those first design. I have a feeling it's going to be hard to find. Check the seadoowarehouse up top on the right. See if they can get you one.........
