Hey guys,

I have a 1995 Seadoo Xp...The ski just shut off the other day while i was riding it (sounded like the lanyard came off). I replaced the solenoid and that didnt help. when i cross the solenoid wires, the ski turns over. Everytime i go to replace the 5a fuse, it blows (even with a bigger fuse). I heard that it may be the mpep, vts, or combination of both. I am inexperienced with this and dont really understand it, so if someone could explain or confirm it would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Brian

If the VTS is shorted out... it can take out the MPEM. Also, don't EVER put in a bigger fuse. If there is a problem... the fuse will protect things. Putting in a bigger fuse just causes problems.

So... was the VTS working before the problems started?
