So I picked up this seadoo at an auction for 600 dollars with a trailer. I thought it was a steal.
Took it out to the lake, changed the battery (new), New gas and oil.
So it starts up and sounds like it will run like a champ. I run it around for a bit in very low rpms to get it used to running since the person who owned it at the auction told me it ran last summer.
After that it ran perfect for about 10 minutes then for some reason it would only run in low rpms with full throttle. But when I took it off the full throttle and back down to low rpms some times it would just die but then turn back on doing the same problem.
I'm new with seadoo's and Ive done work with Yamaha's so personally im thinking it could be a carb problem where they need cleaned or rebuilt.
I tested another battery (same type) and still had the problem.
Also I plan on taking all the oil out of the oil pump and making the ski a pre-mix because in these old seadoo's Ive heard they will go bad.
Is there anyone on here with some good advice to do before I start to work on her?
