I've owned this machine for about 5 years and have it on a lift where I live on Lake Michigan. Recently, and after a short trip on the lake, I noticed a large amount of water in the main engine compartment under the seat. I completely drained all of the water out of the engine compartment and then launched the craft and looked for a leak. Nothing seen when the engine was running. What I DID discover a little later when I took the machine for a spin was that the leak was coming from the top of the engine through a small port with a red cap on the end (see picture below). I do not know the purpose of this cap but when I took the SeaDoo for a spin, I stopped and was idling and then took the seat cover off to expose the engine compartment area. I noticed that this red cap had popped off and the water was coming out of the tube it was on. Can anyone tell me what I should do now? Replace the cap? What is the purpose of the cap? I could make sure it stays on but have a feeling it's supposed to come off if pressure gets too high? Thanks in advance for any advice.
