Just got a 95 Sea Doo SP without a gas gauge, but has a hood with an area to add a gauge...

Question is, can a gas gauge be added that will be functional? If so, what is needed (gauge, wire, etc). I'm fairly new to jet skis, so any help is greatly appreciated!

Honestly I'm not that familiar with your ski, check the fuel baffle, if it has a two wire connector, pink and black I believe, not too much trouble. You would need a gauge and some wire, Minnetonka4me can probably tell us more and he will also have the parts you will need. Oh, and if you have a fuel baffle with the gauge sending unit you will also need to replace the float with the newer molded type.

I thought your ski had a multi-gauge with an led indicator for fuel. Does it have a single gauge hood? What gauge(s) does it have now?

The SP is the lower model, I believe from researching the ski. I have a single gauge good, but no gauge installed. I one the other models such as XP have the fuel gauge installed. I will have to look at the fuel baffle to see if there is the wires as mentioned.

Its fairly simple; you'll need a fuel pickup with the sender, a gauge, and a harness. Check the top of your oil tank, I am pretty sure they put the sender in there...that can be hooked to the gauge as well.

Then its how fancy you want to get....analog or LCD gauge...

I have everything in stock if you want to make it happen.

Is there a certain harness/ wire colors to look for? Would it be on the fuel tank, since looking to add a fuel gauge??

How much am I looking at for a fuel pickup with sender, harness and gauge?

Thanx for the info.

somewhere in the $100 range give or take depending on which gauge and if you can live with one thats a little faded or want a minty mint gauge.

They did make optional accessory kits, but good luck finding that wiring. I would be putting together a custom harness setup for you based off an x-4 model harness.
