Hey guys, just got a ‘94 XP a few weeks ago. DOA. Guy that previously had it said it hadn’t been messed with for 8 yrs or so and had no idea what was wrong. We’ll long story short, I can get it to run however intermittently. I’ve tested all sorts of things and here’s what I’ve found.
The ground wire on the amplifier gets voltage when the engine is cranked. It will not spark unless that ground wire is on a 12v lead somewhere. (Don’t ask how I figured that out.) but it will start and run if I do that.
How or why is this happening? Any ideas?
