hello all, new here. searched around and didn't find anything. just picked up a 1994 xp and has no spark. if I disconnect the red/black wire coming from the stator to the cdi it will spark and run. why is this happening? bad cdi? bad stator?
Black with a red stripe is off the generating coil. Perhaps you should throw a meter on it and see what it puts out. Looks like it goes to the ignition module. This is for a 5 wire magneto.
