Hey guys, I added a 1994 Seadoo XP to the stable yesterday as an extra for friends to ride, and its a great ski except the VTS is not working and its trimmed all the way up. I'm no stunt rider and neither are my friends, so I'm just wondering if there is an easy way to set the trim at half way and leave it there without messing with VTS replacement? Any help greatly appreciated.

Yes there is... We have 94 XP in our fleet and the vts is dead also... You have to disconnect vts motor and apply 12 volts directly to motor. But the vts on this model is cable driven so if the cable is frozen because of corrosion it won't move.
It should move though. Just have a friend watch in back while you apply current to motor. If there is a large electrical ark and wires get hot and it doesn't move... That means it's frozen.

Thank you!

When you get things where you want them, unplug both the VTS motor and VTS module. When they are bad they tend to damage the MPEMs.

So I was taking the VTS system off my 93 XP yesterday and I noticed that if I turned the shaft by hand after loosening the motor, that the pump assembly moved up or down. Is this an effective fix if I just want to set it all the way down? I'm assuming that it is the same setup on my 94.

That woks, but you want it set to the middle. If you set it on low, at higher speeds it can bow steer and try to throw you off the ski.
