1994 seadoo spi start button

So I have a brand new rebuild 1994 spi motor,I’m able to start it via the solenoid by jumping the two post,but then start button does not click or even try to activate from my start button,I checked voltage from negative battery terminal to yellow and black wire coming to solenoid and it’s not getting 12v,change start buttons and same thing,any ideas? Should I try a new solenoid?

Do a continuity check between the two small posts on the solenoid with the wires removed.

Unplug your start switch and do a continuity check when you press the button.
