I have a 1994 sea doo spx and i was wanting to know what a good compression reading should be on this modal. Im going to test it tomorrow but wanted to know alittle more about it before i test it.

150psi is perfect, dont except any less than 120psi, along with 10% difference between jugs.

My personal feelings are, if it's below 135 psi... it's time for a top end. You can freshen up the top before it fails... and you will normally save the crank. Not to mention... you are down at least 15 to 20 HP at 125 psi. (depending on the engine... it could be more)

Altitude plays a BIG role in compression. 150 psi is AT SEA LEVEL. At 4500ft elevation, my SPX (as well as all my others) show 120-125psi.
