G'Day! I have restored this machine and it use to run fine. Now it'll turn over but no spark. I have replaced the coil and the amplifier...and still nothing.

It's strange though, as I can turn it over without holding in the "tether" switch...hmmm. :willy_nilly:

I have ordered a speed limiter as this make sence to me.....any ideas would be welcomed!!

remove plug wires from plug-end boots. trim back about 1/4 to 3/8". re-install boots (they thread off and thread on) and secure with small zip ties. Check for spark. post result........

On the early skis... the thing that normally dies is the speed limiter. You will probably be fine after replacing it.


As far as "It will crank without the tether on." That's normal for the old ski. The tether only puts power on the rev limiter, and to the gages. (if you have them) It does not control power to the start button.
