1991 GT wont start, just clicking at solenoid

I bought this Sea doo in the fall and would not start. Just clicking at solenoid. I had someone work on it. He said he took the started apart and put it back together. Had some water in it. It ran good for about an hour and would not statrt. It would not engage with the flywheel. I took the statrter out my self and had it rebuilt. It ran great for about 3 days. While we were using it, I triet to start and it just clicks at the solenoid again. I took the starter out again. Hooked it up to a battery charger and it runs fine. I will put the starter back in tonight. any suggestions of what it might be.

Jumper across the two larger poles on the solenoid using a screwdriver, if the starter engauges you need a solenoid.

not to point out the obvious, but i am assuming the battery is fully charged.

It has a brand new battery and I just recharged it. I will try the screwdriver tonight. Thanks

I got it running. I took off the starter and cleaned all the contact points and then made sure everything was tight. It is running great now and looking forward to the July 4th weekend.
