My 1989 seadoo has been running great for a long time now and the other day i was out on the lake and it just died on me. So i pulled it up to shore and when i tried to start it it would just click at the solenoid. So i got it out of the water and took it home. At home i started to diagnose and found the engine to be siezed. So i broke it free relatively easily and put the plugs back in hit the start button and boom fires right up. So i was afraid that the oil injection quit on me so i just premixed the gas instead. started her up and shes runnijng great. Pulled the plugs and did a compression test to be safe. FOUND THAT THERE IS ONLYY 100 IN BOTH CYLINDERS AND ITS RUNNING LIKE A TOP.I CANT FIGURE THIS OUT FOR THE LIFE OF ME AT THAT READING ITS STILL RUNNING LIKE IT IS. I DO PLAN TO REBUILD SOON THOUGH BUT ANY SUGGESTIONS

Is it running well on the trailer, or is it back in the water?? I'm betting it wont run so well once there is a load on the engine. Also... the very low compression is probably why you stuck a piston. The hot gasses getting past the piston rings overheated the skirts, and caused a soft/light seize.

Either that... or your gauge is wrong.
