1989 seadoo buzz

I have a 1989 Seadoo and I'm going through a very frustrating time with it.It,s my first experience with a Seadoo.I have a buzzing sound coming from the Ignition box when I try and start the ski.The starter does not turn over ,just a constent buzzing as long as I hold the starter button down.The ski has been in storage in my garage for the last 5 months and I'm, getting it ready for the summer.Any ideas on how to fix the problem other than selling the ski.

Ps I did spend the money for a new battery but did not solve my problem.

OK....


Just because you got a new battery, doesn't mean that it's good. Most batteries aren't charged very well "out of the box." Please set it on a charger for a few hours, and then try again.


If you still have an issue... check that all the main cable connections, and grounds are clean and tight.

If you have a problem after that... you probably need a new starter solenoid. It's in the gray box mounted over the battery.
