Hey guys, i went into my mpem box just to make sure nothing was blown, and long behold the darn blue 15 was toasted i replaced it and it blew again. So I unplugged the stator gray connector, and it didn't blow but as soon as I plugged it back in, toasted. What could be my problem?

Btw the boat does crank and start. We took it out the other day and it was acting eratic. It was running, we got it on plane, but the rpms were jumping around. Up and down. Weird

no luck getting it to run right huh.
Hopefully someone will chime in w/answer.

i dont think the MPEM is blown, i think it has something to do with the stator, maybe a short, because the 15amp fuse is for the charging system, so im guessing that there is a short either in the wiring or the stator because the boat does beep, and start and run, its just it jumps like crazy rpm wise, so its not running steady, and if the 15amp fuse is blown, then its not charging the battery, therefore meaning im only running on battery power...not good, this is what i think, if someone has something else they can add, please do

locate the rectifier, and disconnect the "red" wire. If stops blowing, replace rectifier, if it does pop, unplug yellow wires, if so, then its your stator assy grounding out. Need to remove the mag cover and take a peek.

honestly, ive been looking like crazy, and cant seem to track down the rectifier..where would it be? thanks

that boat, its mounted on the front of the engines. Looks like a 2in sq aluminum block.

ok, so i decided to take off the 3 wires, one at a time, and nothing blew. So i put them all back togerther and the fuse blew. So I undid all the motor mounts and turned the motor on her side, took off the cover and this is what i found with a heavy smell of electrical burn. what do you guys suggest? could this cause my problem?
