I had this problem come up today. during the mid turn I would lose steering and boat will just go straight. I had to powe down and up few times to gain control again. first time I happened I lost it and smacked intosom branches. It happens at full power and partial. I have no idea what it is, first trip down the river and back was perfect but second trip is when it started doing it.

I didnt crawl underneath cause it was kinda muddy where we took it out but maybe something got caught in intake?

any sugestions? It feels like I went over a wake but wont turn and goes straight. I have to power it down so I can get steering back.

funny thing is I only experianced it during long turns on river. when I did a complete 360 at some 4-5000 rpm it was fine. I didnt check it yet, it was kinda late when I pulled it out of water and its parked at friends house cause of my HOA wont allow it here. It just feels like it caught air and there is no thrust.
I looked at propeller from back and it was fine. if propeller is damaged I will just upgrade it.

thing is that my towing van is having some issues with tranny so I have to borrow my dads truck which is parked 100 miles away.
and that day the river we where on is not really wide enough for me to experiment so I decided once I take it on potomac river (which is miles wide) I will try to see whats wrong with it. I have to clean it anyway, its a bit dirty inside.

I had that happen to me over the long weekend. A couple of times, it seemed to take one heckuva lot of thrust to get it to turn. I was turning to port, into the current, and against the wind so just attributed it to that but it was definitely a concern (esp. since I'm new to jet boats).

well I didnt had this problem before so its something thats not supposed to do. I almost ended up in the damn rocks first time it happened.
