my ski has about 36 hours on it. I do a lot of fishing on it, so im turning it off and on alot when out on the lake f.

I get a message on the dash sometimes that says "12 volt low".

I am wondering, should I replace the battery? does it need to be charged? Is it bad that I keep turning on/off ski?

Should I i buy a battery from seadoo dealership if needed?

alot of the times on the lake where there are no boats nearby, dont want to get stranded

any help/advice appreciated

If the ski isn't used for extended periods of time you should keep a trickle charge on th battery. If you've never replaced the battery since 07 then you're lucky it lasted this long. If you're replacing the battery get a sealed gel battery. Way less maintenance than the regular battery although it does cost a little extra. The starting and stopping thing will definitely prematurely kill your starter. The ski simply isn't designed to do what you're asking it to do. They were never meant to be used for fishing although some people do use them but you have to be mindful of its limitations.

what kind of gel sealed battery do you recommend? is there an OEM one, or what is a good brand? or where can I purchase?

The Seadoo dealer will charge you a lot more money than you can get the same quality battery elsewhere.

I would at least fire up the ski and put a meter on the battery to ensure it is actually charging.
