Hey Guys,
Have had my SeaDoo for roughly 5yrs and it's always been good to me. Used it a few times this summer and every time after starting it would say "12V low" after start up, even after replacing the battery. The last time I rode it, it said the same thing at start up, I drove around the lake for roughly 20min and it ran fine. I shut it off to take the kids for a swim and when we climbed back on it would not re-start. I attached the safety tether as per norm, the gauges would cycle once but no 2 beeps and then the gauges would go blank. Doesn't matter what I do now I get the same thing. No beeps and blank gauges after they cycle once. I tried charging battery and also used a different battery that I know is good and no luck. I'm thinking a relay or something but have no experience working on these things so wanted to start here before banging my head against the wall in frustration. I am mechanically inclined and do all my own work on my other toys but the SeaDoo's are foreign to me. Thanks for any help or advice you can offer. Cheers

Lets go on the ASSUMPTION that you do have a known good battery. If that is the case, I think you have more than one issue. But,,, both could be solved with one fix.

It sounds like it is not charging. Which really means nothing until you get it running again.

I am almost certain you have poor connection. A poor connection would cause every issue you have.

Get a meter and go from the negative battery terminal and then to the output side of the starter solenoid. Press the start button and tell us what the volts are?

Bottom line,, I feel you need to remove your large positive and negative cables, inspect them very well. Look for white powder and twist the ends. You are looking for white powder or crunching sounds or feeling within the cable. If either exists, replace the cable, (auto parts stores have generic ones that will work perfect).

If none is present, clean all the ends with sand paper, sane where they mount, put it all back together and as long as the battery is good, I am betting you will be fine...

The two hard to get cables are the ground near the starter and the hot wire at the starter. Suck it up and get them,,, they never get any attention and they do fail.

When you put it all back together use dielectric grease.

clean the ends

Sounds like my problem

My 03 GTX SC would not beep when I plugged in the key. Check my message (03 GTX no beep). The DESS was bad.
