Hi all,

Ahh new to all this PWC business.

I'm looking at buying a 06' RXP 215 which has 230 hours on it... Say's it was rebuild 30 hours ago and SC 40 hours ago.

Apparently it has a bigger cam and exhaust aswell.

Can you tell me if this is a bad idea because of the hours and cam?

Thanks in advance,

Nik

Uhm.....engine was rebuilt 10 hr "after" the sc was rebuilt?

big red flag

It has a "bigger" cam...and exhaust?...exhaust what?

No valve train upgrade?...bigger fuel injectors?....bigger inter-cooler?....bigger red flag

Yeah I believe so, but i think it was because he put the bigger cam in. Is that bad?
It is just a bigger exhaust. Sounds louder. I don't think any of those were upgraded..

No one is gonna add a bigger cam without adding fuel and a valve train upgrade...ecu...because of the more fuel...he'd have to add more boost....which means bigger wheel...he didn't mention it so...beware.

He might have a better water box....maybe a free-flo...dunno w/o pics.

As for the rest of it....from what you've listed...w/o an adequate explanation of the reason for a rebuild...the previous owner is FOS.

I agree with red2blue. It's very difficult to purchase a modified ski that is in good shape. Lots of people mess them up then just sell the project to start over. Go stock and upgrade yourself if you want to make sure it is in good shape.

Cheers red2blue and JoeZ.. Ive taken what you said onboard and decided not to get it. Seems a bit to dodge for me ha

Thanks again.
