My mate has an 06 RXP 215 and when he plugs the DESS key on it starts itself.
I checked wiring and found a wire to the warning buzzer to be broken, so repaired the wire and since doing that
it will only play up when sitting without DESS key connected. If you check it a few times within a few minutes you can plug on DESS key and start like normal, But if you leave it over night it starts on its own and you can turn it off without
removing the DESS key.
Also the VTS doesnt work, but when I have test light connected to negative terminal on battery and touch the coloured wires on the switch the vts will move both directions. Earth wire on switch is ok.
So just to do the simple things first, battery is fully charged, earth points on block are all clean and getting good contact, removed ecm connectors and checked/cleaned connection.
Where to next with this one? I have searched everywhere but cant seem to find anyone with the same issue
