05 seadoo gtx sc and long beep

I just bought a 05 GTX 4-tech supercharged. As you are going across the lake if you hit a few wakes the ski beeps loud and long. It is just a single beep. We were thinking it was just what the ski comes out of the water but it seems to be about everytime we hit a wake and just bounce around. Any ideas what it could be?

Something I forgot to add was that when it beeps the power drops and on my display the speed drops to zero even though I'm still moving and engine is still running
