'04 GTi driveshaft seal leaking, how to fix it?

Hey guys my 04 seadoo gti is taking in water from the top of the drive shaft boot (part closer to the engine) whats the proper fix for this?

the carbon ring doesnt appear chipped or broken (its hard to look at it properly inside the seadoo) but I do notice that I can push the rubber boot back and the ring is a bit big for the driveshaft so I an wiglle it side to side when the clamps on. Is this normal?

yeah its normal should have about 1/4" of play when moving it around. Is the seal carrier ring/collar pushing up against the carbon ring?
because that is what keeps the water out.

Pull the collar towards the carbon ring and check to see if the c clip is still on the driveshaft.

i cant seem to move the boot around to see underneath it, is their a trick or do I have to pull the whole jet assembly?

I was just looking at a diagram of the driveshaft and it appears the c clip your talking about sits to the front of the boot (on the engine side of the boot), if so I dont see a C clip

on ur ski, undo the bolts that secure the steering cable, reverse bucket, and vts cable...if applicable (reverse, vts) and then use 17mm socket and undo the 4-nuts against the hull, then pull the pump right out. Take 5-minuts, no sealant to mess with, then you can remove the boot and carbon ring, for better inspection.

ok i got everything out but the shaft is still in their? how does that pop out?

push the "steel" collar toawrd back of ski, to expose the "snap-ring", then pop that off, and out will come the "axle"...
