I have a 2003 gtx supercharge. When the ski is cold and you first launch it, it will idle fine and start up. When you take the rpm over about 2500 a red light comes on with a adibel noise and the display says oil pre. Once you let it warm up for about 10 minutes below 2500 rpm it will run fine all day long. This is a used ski that I puchased and the first 2 trips were no problems. I started having this problem after I took it to the dealer to have the impeler add wear ring replaced.lklinke@sbcglobal.net

oil filter?

This sounds like a problem with the oil filter. When you first start, the oil is thick. This builds higher flow restriction across the oil filter. If you wait till the oil warms up, it gets thinner (viscosity), then you have no problem, this sounds like your oil filter isn't being changed during it's regular oil change or your using the wrong viscosity type oil.

Oh, did this happen before the dealership worked on it?

This ski was serviced by whittier fun center in califonia right before I bought it. the oil in it is very clean. It is hard to see it on the dip stick. I did not have this problem untill I got it out of the dealer from having the empeler and wear ring replaced.
