Bought it a month ago, ran fine in owners driveway, it also ran good when I brought it home. Yesterday, I was going to take it out 1st time, did not start or crank very good in the driveway. I used a 12 volt power pack and no luck. same thing using my car to start it. I took battery out and put it on 2 amp charger for a few hrs still no luck. here is what happens when I put the key in
1. 2 short beeps and gauges moving from max to zero
2. when I push start
a. clicking sound but not tuning over
b. turns over very slow
3. one long beep
4. 3 short beeps every few seconds

I am not too bad with engines but this is my first jetski and nedver worked on them before.

Thanks,

ps, i tried to tighten red battery cable at a terminal block before going to starter. the nut is inside a red plastic ring. I cannot believe I cannot find any sucket that fite it.

I am new to this forum and dont know a whole lot, but my 04 GTX does the same thing. When I install the key the gauges go from max to zero and beeps twice, I think that is normal. Your battery is probably shot. Mine was doing the same thing so I tried to charge the battery but it wouldnt hold a charge, so I bought a new battery. It has started evey time since I installed the new battery. Be careful about trying to jump start your ski the owners manual says not to jump start it because it could cause serious electrical problems.

Thanks, I found out that there is water in the engine because I did not follow the right procedure with the garden hose. That is turn engine on first and then open water from garden hose. Also, shut off the water first and then turn off the engine. I just bought this and previous owner did not warn me about the right procedure. I just followed what he did when he test started it in his driveway. I later found out he did not open water full blast.
