02 gtx di power problems

Hey guys, having problems with 02 gtx di, runs fine on trailer and when in wter it will run fine for 10 mins, after that it looses all power and mait light starts flashing , like its in limp mode, will run ike that rest of the day, any help would be appreciated, thanks guys

Di Skis are a bit different than most skis. Idle fuel pump pressure should be something like 117 psi.

Check the Fuel Pump Pressure and do a cylinder compression test as well. I would replace the spark plugs just because.

Start the ski on the trailer with a volt meter connected the battery terminals. Then rev engine to 4000rpms and read the volt meter. Should read over 13.3vdc and not more than 15.5vdc.
If voltage is below or above the values your rectifier is bad.

Fuel pump should be 107.

Very common issue is a bad rectifier. If this is the issue replace with a 4 tech version.

thanks for the replys. will check tommrrow when i get a chance, funny thing is i got a 2 of these things and the both did the same thing right about the same time. both got about 103 hours on em so hope this is this is the problem
