Air and fuel?? What do you mean send those out?I'd follow the manual and ask questions as needed. I hope you post lots of pictures. I have not yet built a DI and really don't plan to but good information is good information. LOL
Send out your injectors, air and fuel. They are about $25 each to have done. Good Luck !!
There’s air and fuel injectors on the DI model that should be sent out to be cleaned correctly.Air and fuel?? What do you mean send those out?
Ok I knew about the fuel one but didn't know there are air injectors also thanksThere’s air and fuel injectors on the DI model that should be sent out to be cleaned correctly.
Thanks from everything I've been reading I'm gonna need all the luck I can getThey are under the fuel injectors. Be careful removing them, they can be tedious. I was told the air injectors were more of a problem than the fuel injectors. Good Luck !
It's not all the difficult. Patience and some good tools and asking questions will give you peace of mind and a reliable build. Tap out all the holes in the engine and manifold to clean any debris and corrosion. That makes it much easier to assemble. Thanks from everything I've been reading I'm gonna need all the luck I can get
Thanks will do. May need to reach out to you if I get stuck if that's okIt's not all the difficult. Patience and some good tools and asking questions will give you peace of mind and a reliable build. Just know that I am not a guru... I am a warrior. LOLThanks will do. May need to reach out to you if I get stuck if that's ok

LmaoAs I often told my son as we were working..... "Gently.... Gently" LOL He would get so pissed off when I'd walk up and find the bolt he didn't remove. LOL
I would say.... "I'm gonna come over there and find the bolt you missed." I'd tellin him that a few times. "You still playin with that?" Poor kid scarred for life. I did have a lot of fun annoying him. LOL.Lmao
Lol mine loves his 4 Wheelers but don't like fixing them lolI would say.... "I'm gonna come over there and find the bolt you missed." I'd tellin him that a few times. "You still playin with that?" Poor kid scarred for life. I did have a lot of fun annoying him. LOL.
Hey do I have to release the fuel pressure from the system before I remove the fuel railI would say.... "I'm gonna come over there and find the bolt you missed." I'd tellin him that a few times. "You still playin with that?" Poor kid scarred for life. I did have a lot of fun annoying him. LOL.
I got off without releasing pressure and got the head off but no further it started raining on me. Here's the ravesNot to just remove the rail just make sure your battery is disconnected and removed. I doubt seriously that the fuel pressure remains high for long periods but ya never know. I guess you could loosen the feed line prior to injector removal. I haven't had an issue because the skis I work on have been sitting for years generally so no fuel pressure at all. Good luck and be safe !!

I was hoping to just do the top end. Do I need to do the bottom also. Full bore has a kit with the bore and rave work included for 400. I was hoping to do thatI think that head is a goner. This engine didn't get much love at all. If you are doing the engine yourself You'll have to fit the raves to the new bore. .5mm over might clean it up. That is generally where I go. Take some measurements before you order replacement parts. I use WSM. Don't forget to replace the bendix bearing in the casing. When you get to that point in building Gently test the oil tubes going into the cylinders. Don't force feed them. They are suppose to SPRAY oil so it takes a little pressure before they Pop. Good Luck.
Yea I think I'm gonna just get a new motorI have read countless threads saying not to do a top end on a 951 as the crank won’t be far behind.
I wouldn’t risk it. Would you rather pay an extra $500 or so now, have it done right, or have to spend another $900 ($500 crank, $400 top end) or more (definitely more if the case is damaged) when the crank fails?
Well back to doin the build myself. Sbt is 14 weeks out and the other 2 places are 7 and 9 weeks out. So option 1 complete kit install it myself and machine work done local 900$. Option 2 1300$ core exchange and wait at least 7-9 weeks after they receive my core. Option 3 top end kit machine work done local 550$.Yea I think I'm gonna just get a new motor
