Engine rebuilt last year maybe 10 hours on it, carb rebuilt , new fuel lines and selector valve. Runs good on land, bogs and falls flat in water unless you pump gas sometimes cuts off, move selector to RES runs better don't cut off but still have to pump throttle then runs ok at WOT, thanks

Replaced all gray fuel lines is it possible I routed them wrong? Took line off selector one that says (out) with ski running no fuel comes out? In off position engine seems like it never runs out of fuel, should die in like a minute i thought?

Bottom line, the fact that you swap the valve and there is a difference, you have some sort of an air leak. Very common is the filter/water separator. The O-Ring leaks.

You can do one of two things. run the ski from a remote fuel tank with premix. If it runs well, you know you have good carbs. If it runs bad, you have a carb issue, (Assuming it is not a pulse line issue).

Pressurize the fuel lines and look for a leak. If you think there is any chance that the selector is the issue, bypass it for now and see how it runs.

Ok thanks ,pulse line issue looks to be gray line, issue like loose or falling apart??

If it is Grey, get rid of it,,, Officially, vent lines are not an issue, but I would not leave a single Grey Tempo line in my ski..

Found a hole in rubber line, cut back line found this metal piece in same line, this is the problem??

The hole is a problem/air leak all rolled into 1.
The metal piece is a restrictor jet and HAS to be reinstalled. Do not leave it out.

There you go,,,

A hole will certainly cause the fuel issue. And as noted, replace the restrictor.

Ok thank you tear was not that big about half. The jet thing threw me, sea doo place that did engine and carb said nothing should be in the line when I called him?? I will reinstall it ,which end of line to put in and point of it facing which way? Thanks

Tell the mechanic to go look at the seadoo parts diagram for the carb.....#63
Recharge Jet
270500348.

As far as direction I am not sure. If 1 side has a larger hole than the other I would put that towards the carb and the smaller side towards the pump. If they are the same it shouldn't matter.

Wow cool thanks, might have to shop for a new mechanic or learn to do my self, think I remember how the jet went in the line

Hi just an update, ran a direct line from ON on the sending unit in tank right to carb and ski ran great ! So peered a new water separate complete unit and metal fuel valve

I would suggest only OEM on the strainer and valve. There are a ton of crap ones out now.

Good job Crei.. But run the line from RES. your showing v yourself about 2 gallons... No need to order a new restrict. Nothing wrong with original. Big end of restrictor goes toward base of carb

Miki ordered OEM sea doo parts from sea doo warehouse. Metal valve and complete strainer.

Diesel. Installed restrictor way you said big toward carb, will try run on RES just to see how runs.

Guys have been a GREAT help as well as the rest of the forum thanks all !!

I would replace that gray line that had the crack in it. These little lines are for the accelerator pump circuit. I did not replace mine when I first replaced all the tempo lines and every year my a-pump nozzles would get clogged. Replaced those little gray lines two years ago and they have not clogged again.

I have never replaced any of the accelerator pump lines and haven't had a single issue. They don't deteriorate like the Tempo lines. Maybe it's just me.

They do get brittle and break down though over time as the issue here proves. Why do you think he found a hole/cracked line? Maybe he will not have another issue for a couple seasons. But while I was in there, I would go ahead and replace them and be done with it. They are not hard to replace. That's just my 2 cent. YMMV.

His was cut at the fitting. But I say if it makes you comfortable and shows signs of an issue I agree replace them.
