No, I've never gone up to Weiss. I hear it's really nice. But, I live on Logan Martin on the Talladega County side (right across the river from Pell City). So, I usually just stay around here. Occasionally I will go down to Lake Martin (near Alex City, towards Auburn).

Was thinking about some property on Weiss. Prices are really good and it is close to home. Chickmauga lake (Tennessee River) is really close, but sooooooooo expensive.

I've always heard that Weiss and Guntersville are two of the cleanest lakes in this part of Alabama. Haven't priced any property on either, but know prices are still fairly high on Logan Martin, in spite of the bad economy.

I have never heard anything bad about Guntersville either. Always hear how clean and pretty the water is.
