XPS Oil Alternative

I have two 2022 GTX 170's. I do pretty much all of the maintenance work myself. These oil change kits from Seadoo/XPS seem to get higher every year. Does anyone have a recommendation on an alternative oil to use instead of the XPS brand.

You assume the risk by following the advice you receive here, and based on how much you're skis cost, I'd just use the BPR recommended product. Your owner's manual lists acceptable alternatives if the BRP product isn't available, but those alternatives are different from NA or forced induction engines.

With my old 2002 GTX 155s, I used Castrol fully synthetic 0W-40. I never had a issue with those engines, and they are still running today. If your engine is supercharged, your oil choices are limited due to the supercharger.

Always go with your owner's manual. Except for the part about using 87 octane gas.
