XP oil line routing?

Bought jetski found out TC-W3 oil was in the tank and im in process of draining the tank and putting the right oil into the jetski.

Anyways.. the oil line the runs into my engine on the top side between the carb and block is connected to the bottem of the oil tank by the battery and the line the runs to the lower fitting the one on the hull side by the oil pump is connected to the top of my tank.

In the manual(I have a factory one) it shows that the lines are switched. That the line from the lower tank fitting runs to the lower fitting closer to the hull and the line from the top of the tank by the oil dipstick runs to the top fitting between the carb and block.

Whats going on here?!
I have been using the jetski about every weekend and havent been having issues with it...other then hard start in water.

Yes, it does sound like the lines have been reversed. What year XP? I'll point you to the parts diagram.

Its a 1991 XP.

Well according to the parts diagram it looks like the rotary valve gear oil is setup correctly.

Using this diagram is the same one that I have in my manual. My oil lines are not routed the same as in this diagram.
