Xp limited starter removal

Hi guys im new to jetsking.and just got a xp limited 1999. The starter motor seems to not be engaging properly. And every so often will turn prop like half a turn. Im only getting 10volts at battery when tryin to crank. But i disconnected battery and ran of jump leads from car and had same results .currently the ski wont start but makes a noise like starter is not engaging. How hard is it to remove starter motor??

It is a pain. you have to jack the engine up, put a block of wood under it to support it, remove the mag cover to unbolt the starter drive and then unbolt the starter. I love riding an XP but Sea Doo engineering SUCKS
