WTB dash compartment latch

Can anyone tell me where I can get a dash latch mechanism? One must have bust apart this past weekend..the passenger side will not fasten. the part with the key hole has lost the metal slide that catches the dash lid.

I dissected my old latch last night and got it to work again. I guess I would have been out of luck if I needed a new one, cause no one here had one, and a new one is around 150.00 bucks!! ouch!!

Wow that is crazy. I tried to figure out a way to replace them too with something aftermarket and had no luck. Mine work, I just dont have keys. I am guessing the keys to them all are universal. Anybody got a spare key or one they wanna copy and I will pay for it and shipping?

i don't have any keys either!

I am in the same situation as RFoster, so if anyone has any ideas on getting a key, please let me know too. thanks
