Wont power up??

Hi I had my 1996 xp sea doo sitting last season
Decided to try it this year
so mpem box water got in there some how
Cleaned it up lubed also but it wont fire up
I cleaned all connections also any advice would be appreciated

Make sure all the connections are good and clean on the plug going into the top of the rear electrical box and the small ground wire from that plug is connected to the negative battery terminal.

I changed selonid now it turns over when I hit start and wont stop I have to disconnect battery to stop engine from trying to fire up any idea
