i am new to the forum, I haev a 2000 GTX, i pulled it out and put in the in the water, it rode fine for 10 minutes or so, then it started to choke off. Now everything I give it gas it goes and then chokes off again, but will idle fine, in the fall i had it tuned up and it was winterized, could it be old gas? if so what can i do to fix it. any ideas will be great. thanks

Re-starting

Yes, If you did not use Stabil to prolong the gas life, it went bad after 3-4 weeks.
Siphon it out, remove the supply & return fuel lines, air chuck the gas in them back into tank with gas cap open, resiphon & rag on a stiff wire clean/swab tank. Dump the Separator bowl and soap & water wash that filter, grease O-ring, and retighten.
Put fresh gas in it and attach supply fuel line and air chuck a small amout of pressure
into the return fuel line to prime system. Opening the gas cap with stop fuel flow.
Dribble a little pre-mix gas into *plug holes and use new plugs. Bills86e

it was winterized over the winter and was tuned up last fall. Can I add something to the gas to help it, if it is old gas

nop not now... once bad there is no turning back.... this process is EASY what bills sayin can be done in your driveway in about 20 minutes... go invest in a 15$ siphon pump you'll use it many more times!
