i have a 98 challenger with the dual rotax engines. I thought i had bad solenoids, but i bought new ones and im still not getting any cranking. the switches themselves are good i believe, and i get power from the battery to the coils, but theres no power coming out, even when i hit the switch. I can jump the solenoids and the engines crank. only thing left i can think of is a broken wire or something that leads to the plug the plugs into the top of the coils. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Have you had the battery out recently?.. There are many small wires that connect to it. They are notorious for falling under the engine.

Yea. I bought the boat not running with no batter and I'm trying to weed out what's wrong. So far ive narrowed down to the starters. But I have two big red wires and 3 small fused red wires hooked to the battery an then two big black and on small black on my negative.

Double check for any stray wires that might have dropped. They can be elusive. You say there are two big red and two big black?.. Was it set up for dual batteries?

Single battery set up. Big wire from each coil. (dual engines, dual coils) And I checked the fuses and there all good. thanks for the help guys.

If you have signal from the switch to the solenoids, and you have power from battery to the solenoids, you have a ground issue. (Opposite if the starter buttons send a ground signal to the solenoids.) Check your grounds and go from there.

ok, ive been checking grounds and everything seems grounded right, i get ground to the switch ontop the coil and both big black wires on the coil...i got a buddy whos pretty good with wireing so im going to take it out to his house sometime soon, so maybe he can figure it out.
Thanks again for all the help.
