Will they work

I have a 96 speedster and I need steering cables and reverse cables. There is a member on here that has a 95 speedster parting out. Will the cables off his 95 fit my 96. I know they have different pumps on the two boats. Was just hoping I could find out if either one the reverse or the steering would work.

I'm not 100% sure... but they should work.

If the price is right... you can always get them, and if there are completely different, you can just resell them and not really lose any $$$.

I'd offer $50 for both. (with hardware) I know the replacement lists for much higher... but they are used, and only one year newer than yours.

Just an FYI... the cable ends at the helm will be the same. There may be a slight difference with the pump side. I've looked at enough pumps to know the steering should be the same, but the reverse gate may be different. BUT... since nether of them have a "Trim system".... I'd be willing to bet that any difference between the 95 and 96 nozzles is minimal.
