Hey all, I have replaced the fuel lines, fuel selector valve, both the pressure relief valve and check valve. My Sea Doo GTI will not run in the "on" position, only on the reserve position, it runs fine on "res" but as soon as I switch it to "on" the engines stumbles and dies and will not start back unless I switch it back to "res", it has plenty of gas in the tank when it does this also. I took off the spin on filter and drained it, put it back on, switched it to "on" and tried to start it, no fuel came into it, switched it to "res" and it started to fill with fuel, anybody have any idea why it is not getting fuel when the selector valve is turned to "on"???

when you put the new selector valve in you hooked the lines up wrong. the 4 fittings on the valve are labeled. trace your lines. you probably have the vent line and the on line swapped.

the valve only has 3 fittings, one is on, one is res, one is out. I traced the lines thinking the same thing, the on is connected to the on labeled on the baffle, the vent is connected to the vent on the baffle. Any other ideas???

well if the valve is new I would then guess that maybe the on line is clogged but you said the lines are new, try blowing air thru it just to make sure. maybe you got a bad valve. I don't know when the pickup in the baffle goes bad if that affects both the on and res lines or not. there are plenty of old posts about baffle problems, try searching those until someone comes along with a better answer for you. sorry that's the best i got.

Take the selector switch out and turn it to the "on" position. Try blowing through it. If it is clogged...replace it, or just run on reserve.

its a new selector valve Jesse, i dont mind running it on reserve but for the simple fact that I bought a new valve so I wouldnt have to do that and I could run it in the on position so I could get back to get fuel when it ran out in on position

If you are sure that all the lines are connected correctly and your ski will not flow fuel in the "on" position then, I am thinking your new selector valve could be bad, therefore remove it and blow through it just to be sure. If it is not, then I would pull the baffle and make sure the bottom is not clogged.
There is a rubber grommet in the selector valve, even though it is new, the rubber grommet could have gotten damaged or installed incorrectly. If you determine that the selector valve is indeed bad. I would take it back where I bought it and get a replacement.

If you are still having trouble PM me. I live in Ringgold.

there are hoses with filters coming down from the tank unit I had this problem on my ski and found from rotten gas the lines cracked and fell down inside the tank, had to pull sender clean the pickups and replace the lines
