Will 96 GTX 787 Seadoo tach gauge fit / work in a 96 Challenger 787 ( single engine)?

Will 96 GTX 787 Seadoo tach gauge fit / work in a 96 Challenger 787 ( single engine)?

These are different part numbers, however electrically they should be the same, I'm not sure about the gauge size, I happen to have a tach. for a 96GTX here, it measures about 3-1/4" if that's the correct size it should work.
