Which Oil?? 97 GTX and 97 XP

Which oil do i need? Where to buy? New to this PWC world.

Only API_TC rated full synthetic.

I have always run the Seadoo XPS Full synthetic in the yellow bottle. Amazon always has it.

Amsoil Interceptor and Mystic are also used on the forum.

I ordered a Sea-Doo XP-S 2 Stroke Synthetic Oil - 1 Gallon part# 293600133 from ebay last night. Is this correct?

Yes, that is the correct oil.

What oil is in your ski now? Color?

You typically can't mix two different oils as they can gel and plug the system leading to no oil getting to the engine.

Cool thank you, to be honest i just bought them. The prior owner did mention he used the "yellow cotainer seadoo SPX oil" so i'm thinking is the one i purchased. As far as color, i haven't looked at the oil color.

There is some debate on that one as the old Quicksilver in the Black bottle was great oil and correct for our Skis. The problem is that they stopped making that one and went to the dual rated oil in the silver bottle. Now the issue is that there is not an actual dual rated oil as API-TC and TCW is an entirely different spec oil and additive package. In my unprofessional opinion I would not trust my engines to a dual rated oil because it takes too much time and money to rebuild one.

In all it is a personal preference but I would rather pay $20 more a summer for oil than spend it wrenching.
