Which Crank

I'm tring to decide what crank to go with on my 96 XP that I'm working on with JSG. What do you guys think? Was looking at sending a crank to SES engines and have one rebuilt, Hot Rods crank or SBT. Top end will be going to Full Bore but that don't do cranks.

personally i have had great experiences with hot rods cranks....but other will tell u they havent..personally i would get a hot rod

My vote is for OEM, it's top notch quality, cheaper then a Hot Rods, but more then an SBT. You already know the quality of the part your getting--there in NO questioning the work. The part # for the rebuilt OEM crank is 421000076 google around. SHSpowersports is where I got mine from over the summer and it was $351, they have since adjusted their prices up to standard mark up which puts it at $438. But google around go to some off the wall dealers websites and find the lowest price. I wasted a week or so on finding the crank at the lowest price, but at $80 bucks less it was worth it , to me. If you do go OEM ask the dealer WHEN you get your core money back. PPG in Florida takes FOREVER to return your money, SHS refunded mine as soon as they received it, but I also asked due to my experience with PPG. If you have any questions just give me a shout.

+1 on OEM...if you want the best, thats the way to go. SES is good b/c you can pick what parts go on it, but their track record on deadlines is horrible to say the least.

Hot Rods used to make quality stuff, but I would put them side by side with SBT these days.

I would assume that crankworks is expensive...they are the ones that build all sorts of stroker and custom stuff.

OK, I thought I was losing my mind when I looked there for my crank and saw the new price. I swore they were around $350 when you first gave me that link. Even my seadoo mechanic buddy was saying there is no way it was that cheap. Good to know I'm not completely losing it lol.

Yep it was to good to last, when I called to verify and she told me I couldn't read my credit card info off fast enough. I gave someone else the info and they too bought one from there. Their pricing use to be smokin' but have since adjusted it. If I get some extra time I'll poke around.
