Where is this fluid coming from

Hello last ran 2006 seadoo rtx SC last week ran perfectly no issue walk outside today and see this draining down the side any ideas what it is and where it’s coming from thanks

yup, looks like the overflow drain from around your gas fill pipe.

What causes it to happen/ how bad is it that it is happening?

Filling your gas tank too much and putting the ski in the heat.

The sparks are really bad for this since the tanks are so small which is easy to overfill into the filler neck and then it ruins the decal under the vent and discolors the black plastic hull.
