Ok, my fuel gauge doesn't work.... no big deal many of threads here to pull from. I'll just print them out and follow.

Guess what, the entire float is missing? how is this possible? IS it possible? I removed the sending unit, Opened up the bottom only to find it empty? the sending unit (that circut board looking thing) is there, but the magnet that is supposed to slide up and down is missing?

Has anyone ever seen this or am i just not looking at it correctly?

My guess the previous owner had a sender or gauge problem and removed it so the metal magnet would not create an oxidation problem infuel system. He obviously was nota gauge watcher, as an overheat buzzer is all that is a common nessessity. Bills86e

Your probably right. I'm now thinking that it was causing issues and instead of fixing it, he simply removed the float. Do I get a warning light or something when the fuel is low?

I'm rebuilding this ski from the ground up, just wondering how much I'm gonna want to know how much fuel I have.

your lights should go off when the engine begins making its own electrical energy.

Check your gage....

Check your fuel gage to see if it works.

Go to the fuel baffle and you'll see a connector. Have a small piece of wire, about 3 inches long and stripped at both ends. When you remove the connector, put those two ends into that plug that leads back to your gage. Now, put the lanyard on. The gage should go to full. If this test works, then your fuel gage works fine, all you need to do is get the magnet.

You can find this magnetic fuel float[/url for about $10 bucks.

Be careful from some places that will say they have it. There are many out there that sell parts from skis/boat that have been junked and you can't rely on their parts. I'm also going to send you a PM....
