when cruising at normal speed the frwd handle jumped out of position into a semi-nuetral option. i tried to push it down and it popped right back up when acceled. it moves smoothly and clicks into place when cycled thru the f, n, r with the handle and it actually clicks into place. however, as soon as the accelerator is triggered it pops p again. my bucket of my 2006 gti seems to go up and down properly. it seems smooth and it locks in place in either frwd or reverse options. It acts normal when adjusting it in frwd; neutral; and reverse in neutral however, as soon as the throttle is pulled it clicks out of frwd and goes in semi-neutral and moves frwd slowly and the engine revs high but still moves frwd but at a slow place for hte amount of rpm's. I tried to force the frwd handle down while excelling but the pressure pops it right back up (prob a inch or two up but not fully in neutral). I went under the seadoo and saw that a small string and some netting was around the prop. i removed it and it didnt change a thing. the neutral setting will keep it in nuetral and the reverse wont allow it to move in reverse but moves frwd very slowly when accelled. what do you suggest? Thanks in advance : )

It sounds to me like your reverse bucket spring is likely missing. And if you keep riding the ski with the bucket 1/2 way down it's going to crack the bucket in 1/2. If it turns out the spring is still there and functioning properly I would next check the reverse cable to see that it is also functioning properly and is in good condition.
