What year model is my Seadoo?

Hi,

Just wondering how I can tell what year my Seadoo GTX 4TEC is? Am I able to tell off the VIN Number? Or is there somewhere else I can check? I do not have the original paperwork.

PWC's and boats don't have a VIN in the standard way of a car, etc...
You have a HIN and EIN. Hull id and Engine id........to find out the year of your boat/ski, look on the very back of the hull, on the starboard (right) side and you'll see a set of numbers, that's your HIN. The year is the last two digits.

The EIN is usually on the engines block, either close to the PTO side or up front on the MAG side. I haven't looked one up yet, but if you need to be exact on the 4-TEC's EIN, let me know. I'm sure I can find it. Or maybe a member will chime in here.

Thanks for the quick reply, I meant to write HIN not VIN...........been playing with cars for to long! The last two letters are "02", so therefore it must be a 2002 GTX 4TEC.
